Training at the German National Film School in Berlin (DFFB). Independent documentary film-maker since 1974; Worked also as a camera-person, photographer and editor. Visiting Lecturer in Germany and Britain and in a media project on the Cape Verde Islands. Two solo photographic exhibitions as well as exhibitions with historic photographs, taken by my grandparents in China. Some publications. MA (Distinction, Oxford Brookes) with dissertation on women’s images in documentary film in the GDR. Languages: German, English; Working knowledge: French, Portuguese (Creol) and Spanish. Some knowledge: Chinese. Long term stays in Cape Verde Islands (1980-82) and Great-Britain (1984-2000). |
