Yesterday, by the Long River (working title)
A book of photographs taken in China by my grandparents Hedwig and Fritz Weiss. The pictures were taken between 1902 -1917, mainly in the Three Gorges region, Sichuan and Yunnan. Short introductions to the chapters are written by myself, otherwise the text consists of quotes from their notes, letters etc. The book is a document of that period as well as of my grandparent’s way of thinking.
